Strawberry Banana Chocolate Smoothie

(Recipe from Spaccarotella, K.  The Fit Fridge for Fit Families, 2011.)

Makes 4 servings

 Ingredients

2 cups 1% chocolate milk or chocolate-flavored Lactaid or enriched rice milk

2 bananas, peeled, sliced into 1/2” chunks and frozen

2 cups unsweetened frozen strawberries

1~Put all of the ingredients in a blender container.

2~Put the lid on the container, and turn on the blender.  Blend until smooth.

Tip:  To freeze sliced bananas, separate the banana slices, and place in freezer on a plate lined with aluminum foil.

Per Serving: 170 Cal (9% from Fat, 12% from Protein, 80% from Carb); 5 g Protein; 2 g Tot Fat; 1 g Sat Fat; 0 g Mono Fat; 36 g Carb; 4 g Fiber; 25 g Sugar; 160 mg Calcium; 1 mg Iron; 78 mg Sodium; 4 mg Cholesterol
